Your first day at Marshmellow Surf & Wellness Camp begins the moment you arrive and breathe in the island air. After checking in with a welcome coconut and setting down your bags, you’ll settle into your cozy room – your home base for the week. Once you’ve had a moment to unwind, you’ll do a surf briefing and balance board introduction with one of our experienced coaches, giving you a feel for the basics before your first ocean session tomorrow. It’s the perfect way to start building confidence and excitement for what’s ahead.
The rest of the day is all about easing into the flow. You might choose to lounge in the communal areas, connect with other guests over a cool drink, or simply rent a scooter and take some time to explore the surrounding areas of Kuta, Lombok.

The first full day at Marshmellow Surf & Wellness Camp starts with the smell of freshly brewed coffee and a delicious breakfast made to order. After fueling up, it’s time to head to the beach for your very first surf session. The morning begins with a light warm-up before heading into the water with our friendly instructors, who guide you through your first waves at one of Lombok’s calm, beginner-friendly surf spots. It’s all about feeling comfortable, having fun, and enjoying the ocean at your own pace.
After the morning in the water, you’ll return to camp or town for a well-earned lunch and some downtime to relax by the pool, read a book, or simply connect with the other guests. As the day unwinds, you can join other scheduled surf or wellness activities on that day which may include an afternoon yoga class to stretch and restore your body after surfing, challenging yourself with an ice bath or practice your surf skills on land with a surf skate lesson. By evening, the energy feels calm and grounded, a perfect end to your first full day of surf, sunshine, and flow.

On your third day at Marshmellow Surf & Wellness Camp, the island rhythm begins to feel like second nature. You wake to the tropical feel in the air and start the morning with our delicious made to order breakfast before heading to the beach for your surf session. Today’s lesson builds on what you’ve learned so far, focusing on paddling, balance, and finding your flow on the water. The excitement of small victories makes each session even more rewarding.
After lunch, you may have the opportunity to join other scheduled activities, which could include a pilates session or to take advantage of the gym for some independent exercise, tailoring your afternoon to how your body feels. As the afternoon turns to evening, the setting sun offers a perfect moment to gather in a relaxed and social environment, as you watch the sunset and let the calm energy of Lombok sink in.

By midweek at Marshmellow Surf & Wellness Camp, you’ll begin to notice your progress – surfing feels smoother, and your confidence in the water is growing. Mornings in the surf are spent continuing to practice techniques that help you feel more in control in the water. Some days might even include video analysis, balance board training or surf theory sessions to give insight into your form and help accelerate your progress.
As the afternoon settles in, you might enjoy a restorative yoga session to loosen your muscles and unwind, followed by a drink at the bar before heading into town for dinner shared with fellow guests. By the end of the day, you are ready for quiet downtime in your cozy room leaving you feeling accomplished, grounded, and ready for whatever the next day brings.
By your fifth day at Marshmellow Surf & Wellness Camp, the week often takes on a sense of adventure while still keeping the ocean at the heart of the experience. The morning is spent in the surf of course, continuing to build confidence and enjoy the waves at your own pace. After your session, the day may unfold with a fun and warming local beach BBQ, offering time to connect with fellow guests, soak up the sun, and savor fresh, local flavors right on the sand.
On these beach BBQ days filled with laughs and sun, the afternoon is yours to enjoy as you wish – you might join a sunset yoga session to stretch and restore, explore the shoreline, or simply relax and soak in the calm energy of Lombok.


By the sixth day at Marshmellow Surf & Wellness Camp, your skills in the water are reaching new heights. Mornings are dedicated to surf sessions where you may experience longer rides and feel more at ease in the water. It’s a day that emphasizes confidence, helping you feel more at ease on the waves and really proud of the progress you’ve made since the start of the week. By day six, nervous beginners often become more confident surfers, enjoying every wave with joy.
After your morning surf, you might choose to join some of the other scheduled activities, which could include a restorative yoga session, visit to a traditional Sasak local village, an ice bath or a surf skate lesson.

Your final day at Marshmellow Surf & Wellness Camp is a chance to reflect, celebrate, and savor the last moments on the island. The morning is spent in the surf, giving you one last opportunity to practice your skills and enjoy the waves. You may also join a yoga session to close the week with calm and gratitude for everything you’ve experienced.
The evening may include a special buffet-style local family dinner at the camp, where everyone gathers to share stories, laughter, and memories from the week. You leave with a collection of experiences, new friendships, and a renewed sense of connection to the ocean, the island, and yourself.
